Mischief

Helping a leading creative agency uncover technical and strategic SEO opportunities to improve search visibility, strengthen user experience and support long-term growth.

Mischief commissioned a comprehensive SEO and digital performance audit to identify opportunities to strengthen its organic search presence and better align its website with the agency’s commercial objectives. Combining technical SEO, analytics, competitor research and conversion analysis, I developed a strategic roadmap to enhance search visibility, improve the user journey and support future business growth, while preserving the agency’s distinctive creative identity.
Project Scope: SEO audit, digital performance analysis and strategic recommendations.

Strategic SEO roadmap for a leading creative PR agency

The challenge

As Mischief continued to evolve, the agency wanted to ensure its website reflected both its creative reputation and its commercial ambitions. The objective was to identify opportunities to strengthen search visibility, improve the user experience and better communicate the breadth of its services, enabling the website to play a greater role in supporting business development while maintaining its strong brand identity.

The solution

I took a structured approach to assessing Mischief’s digital presence, combining technical SEO analysis with content, performance and competitor research. Rather than treating each issue in isolation, I assessed the potential impact and effort involved, allowing the recommendations to be prioritised into a practical roadmap for implementation.

Technical SEO

  • Full technical website audit
  • Crawl analysis
  • Indexation review
  • Internal linking assessment
  • XML sitemap review

Performance

  • Core Web Vitals assessment
  • PageSpeed analysis
  • Image optimisation opportunities
  • JavaScript and CSS performance review

Content & Search Strategy

  • Keyword research
  • Competitor benchmarking
  • Metadata recommendations
  • Content opportunity analysis

Prioritisation

Rather than producing a generic audit, recommendations were prioritised into quick wins, medium-term improvements and strategic initiatives to support implementation.

The results

The project resulted in a prioritised implementation roadmap containing 113 actionable recommendations across technical SEO, content strategy, internal linking, website performance and local search. Recommendations were prioritised by implementation impact and estimated effort, helping focus future investment on the highest-value opportunities.

Key outcomes included:

  • Identified technical issues affecting search visibility
  • Prioritised recommendations by impact and effort
  • Highlighted opportunities to improve Core Web Vitals
  • Identified content gaps for commercial keywords
  • Produced an actionable implementation roadmap

What this project demonstrates

This project demonstrated the importance of combining technical analysis with commercial priorities. Rather than simply identifying issues, the focus was on helping the client understand which improvements were likely to have the greatest commercial impact and where effort should be invested first.

What the client said

Dan Deeks-Osburn

We love working with Ross. He has great specialist sector insight and expertise, but communicates that clearly in human language, not tech-y language. He’s also great at helping you, as a client, understand what you really need. All in all, 10/10, great partner, will work with Ross again.
